In this workshop, students learn how to use Tableau to explore and visualize real-world datasets at the intersection of AI, justice, and society. Through hands-on dashboard design, you’ll uncover patterns in AI adoption, algorithmic fairness, labor trends, and user behavior, and learn how visual analytics can influence decision-making in business, policy, and research. The focus is on data-driven storytelling that makes complex issues accessible and actionable.

Nam Wook Kim
Nam Wook Kim is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Boston College and a Researcher in Computer Science at MIT. He leads the Data Within Reach Group, focusing on making data more accessible through effective visualization practices and innovative human–data interaction. His work has received prestigious recognition from ACM CHI, ACM UIST, and the Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University with support from the Sibel Scholars and Kwanjeong Educational Foundation. His research bridges data visualization, human-centered computing, and social impact.
