Singapore Youth AI (SYAI) is Singapore's largest youth-driven AI community with over 400 promising young innovators from secondary schools, polytechnics, junior colleges, and universities. Since our founding in 2023, we've secured $64,300 in funding and built a comprehensive ecosystem that transforms how young people engage with artificial intelligence—not just as learners, but as creators, educators, and ethical innovators.

• Our activities span three core pillars:

  • SYAI Inspire - AI Ambassador Development:

    • Our flagship quarterly bootcamp attracts 100+ applicants nationwide, maintaining a rigorous 1 in 5 selection rate to identify the nation’s most promising young AI talent. Selected participants receive training by AI Singapore engineers with the curriculum derived directly from Google.org, ASEAN Foundation, and AI Singapore. Participants of this program walk away from 2 distinct certificates, AI Singapore and a co-joined certificate from Google.org and ASEAN Foundation. Ambassadors would get invited to conduct secondary school outreach through assembly talks and interactive workshops at institutions. Our programs have been consistently receiving excellent reviews and repeat invitations.

  • Monthly AI Meetups - Professional Networking & Collaboration:

    • Funded with $50,000 from the National Youth Council, and in partnership with Cyber Youth Singapore, we host Youth-oriented AI collaboration events in Singapore. These promising venue experiences feature rotating formats, including fireside chats with industry leaders, startup showcases, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops, connecting 50+ attendees to spread AI literacy and give industry exposure to our members simultaneously.

  • SYAI Times -  Community & Knowledge Sharing: 

    • SYAI Times serves as our trusted and fact-checked one-stop platform for all daily newsletters, reaching our members with the latest AI workshops, hackathons and talks. We maintain Singapore's comprehensive AI events calendar for youths, to ensure that our members are upkept with the latest AI news.

Beyond technical growth, SYAI offers guidance on AI career pathways, and support for startup development. Our strategic partnership ecosystem spans local government agencies and corporate partners (from Google.org and ASEAN Foundation). We also work closely with educational institutions across Singapore. These experiences give our members cutting-edge AI skills and ethical leadership capabilities to drive Singapore's Smart Nation vision.
